Sam Garrett is an English singer-songwriter who has been creating and singing heartfelt melodies since his youth. With soulful and devotional lyrics, Sam’s music uplifts and inspires. Sam has released two EPs, “Be Easy” and “Namaste,” and his first studio album, “Grace,” was released in 2017. His new album “The Dance & The Wonder”, released in summer 2019, explores the tender journey through love, devotion, and growth. His music is a reflection of his travels inspired by profound experiences and various lessons from around the world. With a skillful combination of vocals and guitar, he lifts the mood with reggae riffs like “Lost in the moment” and calms our monkey minds with the gentle tones of “Higher than the mountains” that offer a unique journey and depth that is rare to be found.
Sam draws his influences from a range of different styles and cultures and derives his sound from his diverse love of world music. Growing up in a musical family, Sam’s father played records from Led Zeppelin to Bob Marley to Stevie Wonder in the family home. These early days would have a profound impact later in life. Sam’s father also regularly took him to concerts to see bands and artists around the country.
Sam formed his first band at the age of 12 and played in various variations for a few years before deciding to go his own way and become a solo artist. These early records that his father played would help greatly influence Sam and his music and become his most treasured music, and they would play a large role in the direction Sam would later take.
